As an artist, Dena understands the soothing effect of beauty and that a balanced, harmonious space promotes a sense of calm amidst the distractions of everyday life. Dena’s commitment to green design provides a means for honoring nature and also inviting the serenity and beauty of the outdoors into the home.

Dena brings her discerning eye, attention to detail, sensitivity to her surroundings, and art training to every project, whether it’s to create a new design or rework existing rooms that don’t yet work for clients. An artist-designer who sees the home as a composition, Dena attends to the relationship between objects and empty space, creating design plans that reflect the personalities of a home’s inhabitants. She strives to create spaces where families and individuals can nurture one another, grow together and apart, where they can gather with friends or just be. “I strive to understand who clients are, what they value, and how they want to live so, together, we can create a space in which they feel nurtured and safe. This is space you want to come back to - a home.”

Dena Schulman is a graduate of the School of Interior Redesign and is a Certified Interior Redesign and Staging Specialist. Dena holds an M. Ed. in Museum Education from the Bank. Street College of Education and a B.A. in Arts Administration and Communications from Simmons College. She is a member of the Association of Design Education and the Interior Redesign Industry Specialists.
